I Regret My Actions by Action by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi

......his words.......                                                                                                                      I regret my actions, And the words I said. I never meant to cause you pain, It wasn't my intent. But my words were careless, And I now see the harm. I never meant to hurt you, And it breaks my heart. I know it's not enough, To simply say I'm sorry. But please know that I'm trying, To make things right. I know I can't undo what's done, But I'll try to be A better person, For you and for me. I'll learn from my mistakes, And never repeat them. I'll try to be more thoughtful, And always be sincere. I'll cherish you and your love, And show you how much I care. I'll be there for you, Through thick and thin. My love for you is stronger, Than any regret within. So please forgive me, And let me show you That my love is true. And I'll always be there, No matter what we go through. So please know tha

A Birthed Day On My Birthday: A Twined-Edge Adventure by Sakariyah Ridwanullah

Image
I received my death The day I was put to birth I haggled for the price of my health When I realized the extent of my sickness's de'th On the day I was born I began to die on There was a thought of graduation when I got admission I began to see blessing the day my struggle became pressing Every day comes to an end immediately after their opening I stand to emblem Carollia Perspicillata As I wish I became immortal How I wish my legacy traversed around the world That my name be registered worldwide How I wish my inner self became a haven Where I could abide with after my leaving for heaven How I wish my mother was the pristine Mary Who would've birthed me without a father But the wishes confined into a wish A wish chameleoned to a day, birthed on my cake day Alas! The constellation of Stars is chauffeured around the noblest of skies where destinies are written The Moon fades away the moment it brisks up as the Sun begins to dusk the moment it shines bright What is

The Me In Myself by Fatimah Adeleke

Sometimes I wonder What exactly is the being living within myself Who is this me  That causes myself to regret  What makes me myself That I always have to question  Why do I have to be different  Differences filled with flaws  Tagged as a wierdo  A pity, I don't have control over it It seems to act on its own Leaving myself aftermathly stunned Leaving myself too embarrased To even realize what my existence has done Most times I wish  I could change that me in myself  So that I could be my perfect imaginary self So that I don't have to question my action So that I don't have to replay the "I should have" in my head I thought, how wonderful would that be That I don't have to replay cringing episode  Then again I thought  If I were to change me Would I still be myself  Would I still be a complete existence Would I still leave my mark on the world No!! I would be someone else  I won't have all I have now I won't meet all the blessed people in m

Engineer Nasir Giwa In the Eyes of History by Kamoru Sodiq

Without prejudice to the efforts and impacts of countless great minds past and present who have imprinted their names on the sand of time. I make bold to say that some rank better than the others. The reason is simple. While some influence their own generation, some indeed, invest in the generation to come which is the youths. Our late sage, Chief Obafemi Jeremiah Oyeniyi Awolowo remained unparalleled in our history due to his magical free education policy he successfully launched and implemented between 1952 to 1959 in the Western region which liberated the youths and unleashed their potentials for personal, professional and national development. This accomplishment has never aged. It is as constant as a Northern star in honour of the late sage. It is on record that, people at different time and space has a culture of celebrating the good ones among them. The British idolize Winston Churchill and Lloyd George; their two great wartime leaders. The Ghanian celebrate Kwam Nkr

SPECIAL PRAYER FOR SALVATION: Describing The Merciful Lord With Special Words by Mutohhir Abdulhamid Olanrewaju

O Companion of every lonely one, O Allah of every one in solitude, O Near one that is not far, O One that, O Ever-present that is never absent, O Unchallengeable, O Whom the criers cry to, O Relief for those who despise, O Pillar of those who have no support, O Support of those who are unstable, O great hope, O rescuer of the one at peril,  O saviour of the drowning one, O Patron, O Overwhelming, O Initiator of Grace's before they are due, O Cleaver of grain and date-seed, O Witness of every secret meeting, O the Provider of the crying crow in its best, O Setter of broken bones, the Invisible to all eyes, that cannot be described by the describers, that cannot be imaginable in thoughts, that cannot be changed by events, that is not affected by turn of events,  He knows the heights of mountains, and the depths of seas, and the number of rain drops, and the number of leaves in the trees, and the number of what the night envelopes,  and what the daybreak shines over, He wh

It's a love that's universal, And knows no prejudice. It's a love that's so celestial, Filled with hope and bliss. Allah's love is so abundant, His love knows no despair. Not Long After I Confessed by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi

Image
Not long after I confessed, I saw what I couldn't see. His eyes were hollow, His heart was not with me. His words were empty, And his promises were false, My confession meant nothing, I was just another cause. I gave him my heart, But he did not want it, I told him how I felt, But he wouldn't admit it. My trust was broken, My heart was shattered, I couldn't fix it, The damage had been scattered. I tried to mend the pieces, But they wouldn't fit, I tried to find the love, But there was no more of it. I tried to hold onto hope, But there was nothing there, The only thing I had left, Was a love that wasn't fair. I gave him everything, But he took it for granted, He never truly cared, I was only ever handed. A heart that was false, A love that was fake, I should have seen the signs, But I made a mistake. I thought my heart was safe, But it had been betrayed, I thought he was the one, But he led me astray. I didn't know what to do, I felt so lost and alon

I Confessed My Love For Him by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi

Image
I gathered up my courage, And took a deep breath, To tell him how I felt, To confess my love's depth. I thought about the words, I'd say to him that day, To tell him how I felt, And what I had to say. I knew that I loved him, With all of my heart, So I gathered my strength, And took a fresh start. I stepped up to him, And looked him in the eyes, I took a deep breath, And summoned my might, To tell him what I felt, With all of my might. I looked into his eyes, And saw his bright soul, And knew that I loved him, With all of my whole. I said the words, I'd practiced that day, "I love you so much, In every way." His face lit up, With a smile so true, As I saw the love, He took my hands, And held them so tight, "I love you too," he said, With all of his might. We stood there for a while, In that moment so dear, The love we shared, Was so crystal clear. We knew that this love, Would last through time, A love so pure, And oh so sublime. So hand in h

The Broken Lock by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi

Image
I gave you the key, Trusting you with my heart, You promised you'd keep it safe, No matter where we'd part. I thought you were true, But my trust was misplaced, You took the key and broke it, My heart was left aching, disgraced. You used me for your gain, And never thought of me, I gave my all to you, But you didn't give a key. I was left with nothing, No heart, no soul. The locks are broken, My heart is locked away, It's been shattered and broken, And you are the cause of my dismay. You took my happiness, And threw it in the wind, You left me empty and cold, With no future to begin. But in the end, I'll learn, That some hearts are not meant to keep, Some people will take what they want, And then leave you in the deep. I'll move on from this pain, And find a love that's true. A love that's pure and honest, A love that's real and true, A love that will never leave me, No matter what I go through. I'll find someone to cherish, And hold

The Gift Of Love by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi

Love is like a song that lingers on, A melody that's sweet and strong. It fills the heart with joy and glee, And makes the world a brighter place to be. Love is a feeling that's hard to describe, But it's something we all need to survive. It's a gift that keeps on giving, And a treasure worth living. Love is a light that shines through the dark, A spark that warms the heart and sparks a spark. It's something we all need and crave. Love is like a sunrise, full of promise and hope. It's a feeling that warms your heart, and fills you with joy. It's a song that never ends, and always makes you smile. It's the sparkle in your eye, and the spring in your step. Love is a gift that keeps on giving, and never fades away. It's a treasure to hold close, and cherish every day. Love is like a rainbow, bright and full of color. It's a feeling that's always there, no matter the weather. It's a light that guides your way, and keeps you on tra

A Moonlit Dream Of Love by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi

As the moon shines bright, And the stars fill the sky, I want to wish you, A peaceful good night. I hope you rest well, And sleep so sound, And dream of love, As you lay on the ground. As you close your eyes, And drift off to sleep, May your dreams be sweet, And your heart keep a beat. May your pillow be soft, And your bed so warm, And may you wake up, And may you wake up, With a smile so wide, Knowing that love, Is by your side. May you know that love, Is always near, And that you are loved, More than you fear. May your heart be filled, With peace and with joy, May your love be full, Of a special kind of ploy. May your days be bright, And your nights be calm, And may you know, That you are my balm. May your love be true.

Read And Continue Reading by Fatimah Adeleke

When it is said to me read Read to fill up your empty vessel of ignorance I thought why?  Why should I read?  I know right Like who read in times like this To be really sincere Reading is so boring that I get intoxicated to sleep Reading is so temporary that it just flies away It like just looking, the moment you look away   It's gone like a caged bird Merely the looks of it gives me headache It easy to get distracted And then I thought why should I read If it is so difficult to retain So, I thought don't waste your time I thought I was okay I was alright being ignorant Till it came back to slap me in the face Till I had to search every cell in my brain Just to find not even a single knowledge Pathetic right? I know, that was how it all came crashing down It bared so heavily on me I found it hard to rise up It stung a lot that I hated myself Not to be able to provide even just a word It was then I realized I was not OK at all I discovered I had dug a ditch for mysel

A Shattered Trust by Latifah Adelani Omolade

My life is like a shattered piece of trust, Neither can I ever imagine if it can once again be together as one. A day to reckon with, A life to resonate with, The streets with their gleaming beasts, A happy life now filled with guilt. My true self I miss, My happy self in it's lonely shell, Walking all day hoping one day it will be well, Oh yeah, How I wish I could tell.  The tomorrow is now, The future they say paints a beautiful picture  A voice needs to be heard by all, The one loud voice with the most primal affluence of joy  A dream oh ye I see, Deep within me, I yearn for that need to be free, Oh free, To flee from everything all that once hurts and its pain still lingers the more,  Shall I convey to you, the world of the timid one, The hopeless one who lived his life in darkness won  Patience they say, every soul should learn from.  I lived, and yet again I died, No one ever knows I was drowning in denial, For I have always smiled like everything se

If spending nine years or least at Arabic schools  Cannot Guarantee Formidable vocational training for the Students, that system Is Archaic if not  Underdeveloped At Crescendo. Rather, I treasure putting forth easily accessible innovation which is up to standard to proffer lasting solution to the issue on ground.  The innovative development which can be established by ordinary individual without huge amount attached .  ,in modrosas, the students offer Up to eleven subjects while some upwards. But ,all of them are mere interpretation of papers. Aqeedah ,Fiqhu ,Hadith among host of them are  religiously needed if properly applied by the learners. I'm Sorry by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi

Image
I'm sorry for the words I said, That hurt you, and filled you with dread. I didn't mean to make you cry, And I wish I could undo the lie. I didn't mean to cause you pain, And I want to start over again. I want to make things right, with you, And show you how much I love you, too. I know I've done you wrong before, But I promise to love you more. I want to make you happy, and see A smile on your face. I'm sorry for the things I've done, That caused you pain, and made you run. I didn't mean to hurt you so, And I want to let you know. I know I made some big mistakes, But I hope you'll give me a break. I promise to try to make it right, And show you love, with all my might. I want to make you smile again, And be your friend, through thick and thin. The Agony Of Adulthood by Latifah Adelani Omolade

Image
The Agony Of Adulthood, How do I get to escape this? It's a phase felt I thought it doesn't exist  In the era of happiness and sadness, You get too happy in some moments and then in another instance, you are just a mere shadow of yourself. The Agony Of Adulthood, In the youthful exuberance stage, Where you get to be challenged with diversified sorts of pain. A mystic prey with the most pretentious face. Lying in between the foregoing pangs of life. The Agony Of Adulthood, A primal instant with the prettiest mysteries. Laughing so hard, so as not to be overshadowed by the dominant clutches of the depressed Eagle. The Agony Of Adulthood, Hopes high just like that of a mysterious night filled with bereaved monsters. A sudden stage where you find things you were once scared about turns out to be your comforting space in times of monumental disorder. The Agony Of Adulthood, My happy friend once named Neglect, Battled wars, and conquered them all in the name of braveness.

The Mystic Path by Latifah Adelani Omolade

The path is rough, and so does the bumps that lie ahead. The journey seems too far, but one day you surely will be there. Everything feels more complex, yet you are still that one person with an unbridled ambiance. Count your blessings and you can imagine how priceless that could be. Heralded moments of neglect, Days you find yourself held in between the detention of your thoughts. So many hallowed expressions I may convey, Happily in denial that you are, Yet, neither would you stoop so low to be withheld with fright. Let your work do the talking while you exist no more. For there are moments you would be remembered for being the pulchritude one. @ the lady of tranquility

I Write by Latifah Adelani Omolade

I write to that one beautiful soul out there on this very day. I write to you in terms of pain and in times of comfort. I write to that pain you feel, but can't be said to anyone. I write to that feeling that is left unexpressed. I write to that day you will also be praised for your hard work and dedication. I write to you, not to stop being that one true person to yourself. I write to that morning dew, that lands softly on your skin, making you ponder that the world can still be a better place for us. I write to the days you won't exist anymore. The days you would only be remembered for the good you have done. I write about that smile you put on your face during the time of quandary. I write to that day you're left alone but with certainty, you come up with something intriguing. I write  to you once again, my dear friend. You should reflect on how far you have gone in life and appreciate every step you have taken. For a day would come again, I would write to yo

Episode 4: (Islam in West Africa) The Trans-saharan Trade Route by Abdulhamid Mutohhir Olanrewaju

Image
The Trans-Saharan Trade route was the main part which connected North Africa with Sudan in the early and medieval time. They passed through a number of oases in the desert and terminated in the urban centers of Sudan.  The most famous trade routes included Taghaza (modern Algeria), which was linked to Gao and Timbuktu. Sigilmasa in Morocco was another one, which continued southwards to Awdaghast in Western Sahara and then unto ancient Ghana. Much further west was a Trans-Saharan trade route which linked the Kanem-Bornu region from Tripoli via Vezzan to Sijilmasa in North Africa. Therefore, the situation developed in which the Sanhaja of the Western Sahara, who provided guidance and protection to Muslim traders crossing the Sahara, came increasingly under the influence of Islam. It is probable that, by the 10th century, some of their leaders had themselves become Muslims. Moreover, West African merchants were also in contact with both the Sanhaja and Muslim merchants from No

Tentacles Of Life by Latifah Adelani Omolade

The tentacles of life, Everything seems worthwhile, Neither did little know that a stitch in time saves nine at times. Cos in life, to be a happy man, you need to accept challenges like it's an everyday desire. Tentacles of life, A life embedded with unanswered questions, A day surely would come, Feelings would creep into our thoughts just like  a summer morn, Do we have to experience pain in this life? For all the hurdles we go through, it is still certain this life is going to end someday. Tentacles of life, Have you ever wondered if whatever you're putting in the effort is worth the wait? Life summons you with the courage to be the best at whatever you're achieving, Little did you realize it's all for a life that's gonna end within the blink of an eye? Tentacles of life, A moment of mystery and then in another flinch you're the happiest. Working all day alone death keeps tolling in taking the ones we once planned our future with. Experience is a l

My Birthday by Qomarudeen Saheed Olayemi

When creation is perfect and life given, The countdown for death begins. When swearing-in is held, The unpleasant and historical day to leave office is loose. A cloth starts to get dirty the very moment it turns clean. Everything starts to decrease the precious time it completes. Man shouldn't be hoodwinked by the short-lived opulence of life. Let no man think me an anchorite. I wish I  cracked the hardest nut of life. I wish I stood against the sky from being my limit. I wish I broke the unbreakable jinx of the world. I wish I was celebrated. But the unstable and transient nature of life always pushes me back from loving them. Sun doesn't shine only on one side. Nothing in this life is worth loving. I wonder the thought of an inmate whose hang day is pronounced. I am interested in the state of an infected one whose days on earth are marked by William Osler. What kind of joy does a sacrificial lamb have? Or how do we describe the happiness of a chicken meant for yul

Episode 3: The Trans-Saharan Trade Routes by Mutohhir Abdulhamid Olanrewaju

Image
Accounts vary regarding Islam's initial contact with West Africa, with some suggesting the 7th century, while historians generally place it in the 8th century. In the first half of the 8th century, Islam started making its way through the Trans-Saharan trade routes from North to West Africa. After Arab conquerors overran Umayyad rulers, military expeditions and slave raids were organized into the Southern region of Morocco and as far south as the ancient boundaries of Ghana. One expedition not only returned with slaves but also brought back significant quantities of gold. The influx of gold prompted the Umayyad governor to seek ways to ensure continuous supplies from West Africa. To achieve this, AbdulRahman, the appointed Ifriqiyyah in 745 C.E, ordered fortifications along the trade routes from southern Morocco across the West Sahara to West Africa. The next stage in the early contact between West Africa and Islam involved Muslim merchants, mainly of Berber stock, vent

Why My Heart Bleeds For Palestine by Abdulhamid Asmau

O' my Palestine,my heart bleeds for you You are the land full of sorrows and resilience, where people carry the burden of dead bodies that speaks of battles fought for ages. O' my Palestine,my heart bleeds for you Houses, buildings, hospitals, all vanishing away in a heartbeat,in the realm of endless cries, babie's laughter turning into heart-wrenching screams. O' my Palestine,my heart bleeds for you In the blind of an eye, innocence is erased, breathe fades away, how hopeless when their bodies meet their doom, still Gaza's people brightly gleam. O' my Palestine, my heart bleeds for you As your cries transverse the digital sea,I also tremble within my fragile spirit and feel lost for not helping you. O' my Palestine, my heart bleeds for you For the pain you endured that you never deserved,May your land embrace peace, and turn to better place full of everlasting joy and mercy. Ached, pained, cried to no avail, All of this your love made me do. I was half-mad when your memory came, That far-distanced you are, From why I sojourned. All Joys from above in you confine; dwell, leisure, reside and relax. I long to bring herein—into my head, my heart and my body, the escapades with which you fed me the last time around the smiling of a yellow sun. As a day lodged in, another went packing. Winter would less be reluctant to suck the  red water in me to the last drop if not for your lovely hands caressing; roving through my body; upwards, downwards my belly arousing the man in me. Until I held your breast; suck it, squeeze it, moving my lips all over your fair, robust body. That quenched my cold. O you my home! my very comfort station! Fully naked, give me again another chance My Diadem is giving a Clarion call Again in that majestic bedroom, kitchen room Sitting room - all call my attention A loser I be if back I do not come; If the call I do

EPISODE 2: How Islam Spread To West Africa by Mutohhir Abdulhamid Olanrewaju

Image
The true factor of Islamization lies in the religion of Islam itself. Every Muslim is asked to carry the message of the Prophet to others. A prophetic tradition says, 'Preach about me, even if it's just one verse. Wherever the Muslims went, they took their religion and culture with them. The Arabic language was an important part of their religion, as the Qur'an was written in Arabic. There were long-distance trade routes running from. The Arabs traders and business men and some quite missionaries who had dedicated their life with the cause of Islam carried the message of Islam wherever they travel to. It's also true that wherever the Muslim conquest took place a large number of Muslims chose to settle down in newer places the period between 660 and 670 C.E was remarkable expansion of Islam further in to Africa along the Mediterranean coast Morocco came under Islam influence in 8th century and berbers began to join the Muslim armies. Islam spread in North Afr

The Real Treasure by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi

Love is a myth, a fanciful tale, A notion, but not a truth to tell. It's just a word, a story spun, An illusion of what might have been. It's not the answer, not the goal, It's not the meaning of the whole. It's just a phrase, a fancy thought, But love itself cannot be bought. It's not the cure for loneliness, Or the key to happiness. It's just a dream, a passing fad, Love is not all that we have had. The world exists beyond this word, Without love, we all are heard. We have compassion, friendship too, We have connection, me and you. Love's just a story, just a fable, It's not the only way to travel. So let's forget about this phrase, And focus on the human race. Let's celebrate our common bond, Our shared humanity beyond. So let's not waste our precious time, With something false, a line, a rhyme. Let's celebrate our common bond, Our shared humanity beyond. Let's focus on the things we do, That make us us, me and you. Ou
