Modrasas In Yorubaland by Toyyib Qomarudeen



If spending nine years or least at Arabic schools  Cannot Guarantee Formidable vocational training for the Students,that system Is Archaic if not  Underdeveloped At Crescendo.

It's a random Occurrence in the society seeing Alfas perpetrating all forms of forbidden which, on a large scale, puts stains on Islam garment and desecrate the sanctity of our reputable scholars in the society . 

Furthermore,I refused to kowtow to blank nagging in this respect . Rather, I treasure putting forth easily accessible innovation which is up to standard to proffer lasting solution to the issue on ground.  The innovative development which can be established by ordinary individual without huge amount attached . 

,in modrosas,the students offer Up to eleven subjects while some upwards. But ,all of them are mere interpretation of papers. Aqeedah ,Fiqhu ,Hadith among host of them are  religiously needed if properly applied by the learners. But ,to my profound shock,they still fail in the application terrain which denotes a colossal failure in spirituality and welfarism. No formidable faith to hide under the syndrome of "Allah will provide after sincere prayer with petty effort" and nothing to busy with as hand skills . 

In other words,our indefatigable scholars and mudirs of Arabic schools coupled with other concerned stakeholders are hereby saddled with the responsibility of seeing to the possiblity of inculcating productive and rewarding hand skills into our modrosa's curriculum and helping avenue to display and practice it with award of certificate on the long run and put down some subordinate subjects so that modrosa's attendees can boldly and sincerely preach pristine Islamic teachings while addressing the public and eschew being  contortionist of Quranic verses for meager amount at ceremonies .

It is not a gainsaying that the project is characterized with human and financial resources not only to cleanse our Society from mess of forbidden. But, also,to giving Islamic knowledge a standard outlook among it's contemporaries.  

Furthermore,series of contributions had been trickling in on how it could be implemented.

 Some reputable characters sent me articles in PDF while some sent me particular skills to dish out for public to benefit from .

Once again, the mantle of leadership has been passed on. Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alamin. We give praise and thanks to Almighty Allah for making us witness that day. We thank Him for guiding the Shurah committee, and we thank Him for His choice of leaders. For those of us who attended the programme, we would all agree that that day is a memorable one. It's not every day you see your leaders breaking down at the moment of appointment. And if there's a lesson to be learnt from that, and from the fact that Great men like Umar and Uthman cried as well, it's the fact that crying is not always a sign of weakness.
