I gave you the key,
Trusting you with my heart,
You promised you'd keep it safe,
No matter where we'd part.


I thought you were true,
But my trust was misplaced,
You took the key and broke it,
My heart was left aching, disgraced.
You used me for your gain,
And never thought of me,
I gave my all to you,
But you didn't give a key.


I was left with nothing,
No heart, no soul.

The locks are broken,
My heart is locked away,
It's been shattered and broken,
And you are the cause of my dismay.
You took my happiness,
And threw it in the wind,
You left me empty and cold,
With no future to begin.


But in the end, I'll learn,
That some hearts are not meant to keep,
Some people will take what they want,
And then leave you in the deep.
I'll move on from this pain,
And find a love that's true.


A love that's pure and honest,
A love that's real and true,
A love that will never leave me,
No matter what I go through.


I'll find someone to cherish,
And hold them close to me,
A love that will never break me,
Someone who will always see.
I'll build a new life,
And move on from this pain,
A future bright and full of hope,

A glimmer of gold in the dunes' vast expanse appeared. As I searched, the sands shifted, revealing a path unclear. With every step, and each passing moment, thoughtful reflection leads the way. Upon delving deep, I unearthed a treasure bright, and then I examined the price, to see if it gleamed with hidden worth. And so I discovered it was merely glitter in sight. Once again, the mantle of leadership has been passed on. Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alamin. We give praise and thanks to Almighty Allah for making us witness that day. We thank Him for guiding the Shurah committee, and we thank Him for His choice of leaders. For those of us who attended the programme, we would all agree that that day is a memorable one. It's not every day you see your leaders breaking down at the moment of appointment. And if there's a lesson to be learnt from that, and from the fact that Great men like Umar and Uthman cried as well, it's the fact that crying is not always a sign of weakness.
