SPECIAL PRAYER FOR SALVATION: Describing The Merciful Lord With Special Words by Mutohhir Abdulhamid Olanrewaju



O Companion of every lonely one, O Allah of every one in solitude, O Near one that is not far, O One that, O Ever-present that is never absent, O Unchallengeable, O Whom the criers cry to, O Relief for those who despise, O Pillar of those who have no support, O Support of those who are unstable, O great hope, O rescuer of the one at peril,

 O saviour of the drowning one, O Patron, O Overwhelming, O Initiator of Grace's before they are due, O Cleaver of grain and date-seed, O Witness of every secret meeting, O the Provider of the crying crow in its best, O Setter of broken bones, the Invisible to all eyes, that cannot be described by the describers, that cannot be imaginable in thoughts, that cannot be changed by events, that is not affected by turn of events, 

He knows the heights of mountains, and the depths of seas, and the number of rain drops, and the number of leaves in the trees, and the number of what the night envelopes,


 and what the daybreak shines over, He who no level of sky can conceal another sky from, neither an earth from another earth, nor the sea from what is underneath it, and the mountain cannot cover what is within its hump from Him.

A glimmer of gold in the dunes' vast expanse appeared. As I searched, the sands shifted, revealing a path unclear. With every step, and each passing moment, thoughtful reflection leads the way. Upon delving deep, I unearthed a treasure bright, and then I examined the price, to see if it gleamed with hidden worth. And so I discovered it was merely glitter in sight. A lesson learned, I realized with conviction true: not all that glitters is gold, and glitter can deceive anew. Once again, the mantle of leadership has been passed on. Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alamin. We give praise and thanks to Almighty Allah for making us witness that day. We thank Him for guiding the Shurah committee, and we thank Him for His choice of leaders. For those of us who attended the programme, we would all agree that that day is a memorable one. It's not every day you see your leaders breaking down at the moment of appointment. And if there's a lesson to be learnt from that, and from the fact that Great men like Umar and Uthman cried as well, it's the fact that crying is not always a sign of weakness. Sometimes, it's a sign of inner strength. To our dear newly appointed excos, with our congratulations and prayers for Barakah comes our suggestions and advice.
