Extravagance and Convocation Ceremony Of OAU Students by Mutohhir Abdulhamid Olanrewaju
Islam is a complete religion, you will always find what you need in our religion, I was so amazed when I got to where Allah talks about Extravagance in the Qur'an. Immediately, I read this verse, i checked the tafseer of the verse. Today that OAU students are convocating, I think it's important for me as an upcoming scholar to pen something down about this in order for fellow undergraduates to benefit from it. If you ruminate deeply about Q7:31, Allah says in the last miracle that was sent to Prophet Muhammad sallahu alayhi was-Salam, you will see that our Uncreated Creator commanded us to prohibit Extravagance. "O children of Adam! attend to your embellishments at every time of prayer, and eat and drink and be not extravagant; surely He does not love the extravagant."
