I Confessed My Love For Him by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi
I gathered up my courage,
And took a deep breath,
To tell him how I felt,
To confess my love's depth.
I thought about the words,
I'd say to him that day,
To tell him how I felt,
And what I had to say.
I knew that I loved him,
With all of my heart,
So I gathered my strength,
And took a fresh start.
I stepped up to him,
And looked him in the eyes,
I took a deep breath,
And summoned my might,
To tell him what I felt,
With all of my might.
I looked into his eyes,
And saw his bright soul,
And knew that I loved him,
With all of my whole.
I said the words,
I'd practiced that day,
"I love you so much,
In every way."
His face lit up,
With a smile so true,
As I saw the love,
He took my hands,
And held them so tight,
"I love you too," he said,
With all of his might.
We stood there for a while,
In that moment so dear,
The love we shared,
Was so crystal clear.
We knew that this love,
Would last through time,
A love so pure,
And oh so sublime.
So hand in hand,
We walked away,
With hearts so full,
Of love that would stay.
We knew that our love,
Was something so strong
Our love continued,
With every passing day,
It grew and blossomed,
In every way.
Our hearts were full,
Of joy and delight,
Our love was strong,
With all of its might.
So as time went on,
We stayed together,
Hand in hand,
Forever and ever.
Our love was true,
Through thick and thin,
A love that lasted,
From now until the end.
So with a smile,
I close this tale,
Of a love that was real,
And always prevailed.
With a kiss and a hug,
Our story is done,
A tale of two hearts,
Forever as one.
May you find your love,
And hold them so dear,
And may your love,
Be filled with such cheer.
With this, I end,
This poem of love,
And wish you well,
From above.
