The Road To Healings by Mosuro Hafsah Oluwatobi
Though my heart is broken, I will mend,
For hope and love are my best friends.
I will rise above this pain,
And in my heart, joy will reign.
My sadness may be deep,
But I'll find strength and keep.
For though I'm hurting now,
My healing will begin somehow.
So I'll keep hope alive,
And with love, I'll thrive.
Though my heart is scarred and sore,
I'll find healing at my core.
For in time, all wounds will heal,
And the pain, it will reveal
A strength and resilience deep,
That will help me to keep.
And as the days go by,
I'll begin to ask "why?"
Why did this pain come to be?
And how will I find glee?
But in time, I will see,
The answer comes in the night,
When sleep brings dreams so bright.
I see myself, happy and free,
Living life with glee.
I realize then, with a smile,
That this pain is only for a while.
It's a chapter in my book,
A lesson to help me look
At life in a new light,
With hope and delight.
For though the pain is real,
My heart is strong and will heal.
The road to healing is long,
But I'll be strong, and I'll be strong.
I'll focus on the good in life,
And find joy in the smallest strife.
I'll seek out the silver linings,
And keep my heart from whinings.
For even when things seem bleak,
There's always something to seek.
I'll find it, with hope and grace,
And a smile on my face.
