9/11 - A Fictive Story About The Terrorist Attack On The Trade Center By Israel Ajake
As the clock ticked toward 2 PM on September 11, 2001, Jane, a determined and ambitious woman, prepared for a meeting with her boss at the World Trade Center. She had been waiting for this opportunity to discuss her ideas for a new project. Little did she know, this ordinary workday would soon turn into a nightmare.
When Jane entered her boss's office, their discussion quickly escalated into a heated argument. Frustration filled the room, voices rising amid the tension. Their disagreement reached its peak just moments before the unthinkable happened.
Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed through the building. Jane and her boss rushed to the window, only to witness a horrifying sight: a plane, Flight 175, crashed into the neighboring tower. The impact reverberated through the glass, shaking the room. Dust and debris filled the air, and the ground quaked beneath them as if the very foundations of the tower were collapsing.
Instinct kicked in. Jane, her heart pounding, fled the office and raced up the stairs, her mind clouded with fear and adrenaline. The sound of crumbling walls and explosions followed her ascent, a relentless reminder of the disaster unfolding below.
Reaching the top part of the building, Jane found herself gasping for air. Smoke billowed around her, and the acrid scent of burning filled her lungs. With trembling hands, she opened a window, desperately seeking fresh air. The cityscape, once a symbol of opportunity, was now obscured by thick smoke and chaos.
A blast of heat and noise pursued her as she moved away from the window. In that moment, with her options dwindling, Jane made a choice that defied her every instinct. She climbed onto the window ledge, her heart in her throat, and took a deep breath.
She jumped out.
